My home decor is subject to a constant cycle of accruing, regrouping, editing, and ultimately culling.
As it’s too cold to work on my garden, I’m honoring spring by doing some slightly painful curating. You can find the results of my efforts in my Etsy Store.
For example:

Vintage 50's Hosiery Store Display

Vintage 70's Danish Modern Style Green Wood Salt Shaker & Pepper Grinder

Vintage 50's Murano Art Glass Sculpture

Vintage 50's 60's Murano Mod Glass Owl

Vintage Steuben Crystal Glass Candlestick

Vintage 50's Russel Wright American Modern Serving Bowl

Vintage 40's Art Deco Miniature Pitcher (Fiestaware perhaps)

I just listed these four vintage 60′s silverplate and enamel trays on Etsy. These were actually part of my own home decor – I am a sucker for simple bright modernist pieces, but I’m focusing my collecting on Dansk and Copco enamels and vintage plastics. And Fisher Price Little People. And mid-century clear glass. And Danish candlesticks. And outsider art. And Lightolier lamps. And 70′s vintage motorcycle books….and so on.

This vintage 1950′s strapless gown in iridescent blue and green taffeta. It’s incredible, with its tight bodice and full, draped skirt. The dress is designed by Fred Perlberg, the master of pretty party dresses (he called them “Dance Originals”), and it’s a true showcase of his talent.
But the main reason I love this dress so much is because it’s the latest find from my favorite picker – my Dad! He’s been buying and selling antiques for over 50 years, and I am thrilled that he’s using his eye to help me find beautiful things.

Other than sandals, gardening, my patio, swimming in the lake, yard sales, grilling out, oceanside cocktails, and open windows….

My other bike is finally running. This picture was taken on October 3, 2010 – the first day it was fully functional, and the last decent riding day of the season. Don’t get me wrong, I love my big 1969 BMW R/50, but this bike is light, and fast, and so much damn fun. With gas prices the way they are, I suspect this will be my primary mode of transportation once the weather gets warm. Not a bad way to go!

I only wish March in Maine were this cute.
The sunlight through the glass is warm, but there’s still 5 feet of snow on the ground and temperatures in the single digits.

The Stig opens his eyes and sees me with the camera

and goes into his Sun Salutation Pose.
